i saw a wireless rear view camera at peopboys for $69 dollars. i figured installation is pretty easy.just connects the camera to backup wires at the tail gate and hooks up the monitor to 12v outlet but my question is once the reverse gear is engaged.would the monitor turns it on by itself or it has to be pushed power on ?

i think the right people to be asking would be the guys working at pepboys. But, for the sake of things I'm gonna go off on a limb and assume since the monitor is solely plugged into the cig outlit, that yes you'd have to turn it on yourself.
