11/6 Tampa Intl Car Show Roll Call?
i helped take a bunch of cars over, lets just say some of the coolest stuff there will not be shown do to a freaking wreck in the entrance. i'll upload pics when i go back to work and get my camera.

Wasn't really worth the trip. I will post up pics here tomorrow, too lazy tonight. I was dissapointed. There was only a few concept cars and everything there you can see at the dealer and drive it or sit in it since most of the cars that we wanted to sit in they won't let you.

I loved the C55 AMG. It wins the Jordan Y. award for most-ridiculously-bolstered seats, and was just awesome in general. At the same time I was not impressed by the new M3, though I can't find any specific fault in it.
The Audi S5 is a heck of a car. I love the styling and the interior was perhaps the best I saw in the show. The R8 looked great and I wish I could've gotten a closer look at it, but it was on one of those stupid roped-off stands.
The ZR1 was great. I had already seen one in person, but being able to stare at it up close for ten minutes really let me appreciate it more completely. Up close the brakes are simply jaw-dropping- they're massive, and the carbon-ceramic-whatever rotors are sick. In pics it doesn't look that different from a regular Vette but side by side in person you can see every new detail in the styling.
The GT-R looked amazing in person. For some reason it was a RHD Japanese model. It looks ugly and plain in pictures, but it really comes alive in person.
I also looked at a handful of cars that I could actually realistically consider buying in the near future. I determined that I prefer the Cobalt SS sedan to the Cobalt SS coupe. The only problem with both of them was that with a non-telescoping steering wheel, when I had the seat set far enough back for my 6'3" frame I felt like I was stretching to reach the wheel, which seemed to be set abnormally far forward.
The interior definitely loses to the Mazdaspeed 3, but the performance numbers on the Cobalt are better in pretty much every way. The one thing that really kills the Mazda is an 18/25 MPG rating vs. the Cobalt's 22/30 MPG rating. Mazda cars always seem to have the lowest MPG car in each class- they need to step up their game on that one. The new WRX is just plain ugly- some cars are ugly in pictures but look OK in person, some designs grow on you over time, but the WRX continues to disappoint visually more than a year after the redesign.
Speaking of telescoping steering wheels, I've fallen in love with them. My next car definitely needs to have either a telescoping steering wheel or a highly-adjustable seat. The only car I could get a comfortable steering wheel position in that lacked a telescoping wheel was the Corvette Z06; it had so many seat adjustments that I was able to make the seat match the controls rather than the controls matching the seat.

Mmmm, I walked through all the areas and never saw a GTR? Where the heck was that cause it wasn't in Nissans section unless just not when I was there?
Seth: I know what your saying. I am just used to the Detroit Auto Show and had higher expectations thats probably why, haha. There was very little concept cars and it doesn't even come close to the Detroit one. I did like a few concepts and it seemed they were all in Ford's area.

Yeah, that Lincoln was crazy. I had yet to see that car and me and my roommate were looking and I was like is that a Turbo, damn. I got pics of the cars that were worth it for the most part. I still can't believe that Honda's best car was the S2000 CR and thats it. They had a basic plain old Fit on the main display, what kinda crap was that? I asked the guy, where is the Mugen Fit or Civic, he said, yeah would have been nice if we could of had one here. I liked the Rat Rods just out side the doors and those cars from the Czech.
