dont own one but there motors are supposedly really good. I Would try not to get a bsae model as they dont have the LSD like the others. Overall there a blast to drive. I was looking into buying one so i test drove and all. for a factory car there deffinatly not slow

I know the 03-04's had ALOT of problems and recalls, with the biggest being fucked up 3rd gear on the 6 speeds. Go on my350z.com and check out the recalls, and before buying a Z, check to see if that stuff was ever fixed/replaced. And if I'm not mistaken the 05's or 06's have oil consumption issues.
The tranny issues mostly stopped starting with the 04.5 models. My car did spend some time at the dealership for a few things though: Both window motors, steering wheel started to fall apart, paint starting chipping on the center console. After all of these parts were replaced I did not have anymore issues.
