F1 Brazil
Lol
, I think Leguna Seca is a more realistic choice, since some teams use it for testing, or atleas toyota did. Once ol' bernie is out of the game I'm sure F1 will be back. From what I understand he hates the US.
Road atlanta would be awesome though, I think it would be better than Indy.

Bernie doesn't "hate" the U.S. he loves money and Tony George can't come up with the money he's asking for.
They wanted to go with a "Spec" engine in 2 yrs. to even out the competition. But it's unlikely 'cause Ferrari is already throwing tantrums about the idea. But if that becomes succesful, I won't be suprised if the whole field end up with McLaren engines.
I'm not crazy about a spec engine for F1 but it would reduce costs a bit and allow other teams to compete. I'd rather see them do some things with the aero and ground effects to add more driver skill into the mix.

next year they are reintroducing slick tires. they are also significantly cutting down force which should reduce the cars wake and make it easier for the cars to follow each other closely through corners. they are also introducing a kinetic energy recovery system next year which will give the cars an extra power boost on demand.
I doubt "McLaren" will supply the engines (because they don't make engines they're made by Mercedes). If a spec engine ends up getting pushed through (and it doesn't kill the series) I would expect it to be made my Cosworth or someone similar. None of the existing manufacturers are going to agree to use an engine made by a (business) competitor. BMW is not going to race with a Mercedes engine in their car. McLaren/Mercedes is not going to race with a Toyota engine in their car, and so on.

That's a given conflict of interest, and that's why F1 will forever fail in a competitive fashion.
Its similar to Daytona prototypes in that the chassis and engines come from two serperate places. Atleast in most cases in F1, excluding Ferrari, Renalt and I believe honda. It might be possible for a spec engine and if that would be the case I see Ferrari being the benifficiary of that deal. Seeing as how they are the only company to have an engine in two different teams (Factory and Red Bull Racing.)
And I conceed to my earlier post, I thought that it was part of toyotas testing theire upcoming F1 car.

Renault have engines in the Red Bull cars
Toyota have engines in the Williams cars
Toyota, BMW, Ferrari, Renault, and Honda build their own engines and chassis
