Audio question
OK--- im dretty knowledgeable about audio equipment--i have installed many systems too----anyway --i had to make room in my trunk---i couldnt run my 12s in my big ass box that had two chambers so i made an isobaric (clamshell style) box and am running my two subs at 2 ohms-----i ran them at 2 ohms when they were in seperate chambers---anyway now when i crank it my amp blows the fuse some times(never used to do it)---i was just wondering if anyone knew if there is some type feedback that is sent to your amp when running a speaker out of phase(reverse) because the amps fuse will blow if cranked now and it didnt do that before---and it was always at two ohms--as it is now---

check your connections again and make sure you didnt run them parrel and wound up droping them down a few ohms. if this continues just run then normal for the time being and break out the paper work for your subs and get the correct wiring directions. or just send me the info and i will figure it out.

By what you describe it shoudlnt matter if you run one sub out of phase or not. If it did it woudl blow all the time..not just when youre bumping. Well it work if it is wired to an individual channel so then ther emight be an issue in your amp..call the amp manufacturer to se eif its supose dot happen liek aprotection mode. try borrowing another amp for just tes tpurposes..

what kind of subs are they? Isobaric requires one sub to be out of phase to complete the push-pull sequence. This setup allows the speakers to get more excursion and therefore possibly be using more power (even though you may not necessarily be hearing more sound) this added draw in power could be blowing your fuse. If everything is the same as before with the wiring and it worked fine before I would try upgrading the fuse. what size amp and power wire are you running?
