Ah, I hydrolocked my Integra before. I was so damn determined to fix it I was out there for nearly an hour and eventually a puff of smoke shot out the back and it was running fine.

Like you covered your intake with water (= hydrolock) or you just got some electronics wet and now the starter won't work.

Pull your spark plugs, tun it over, see what happens, also video tape that, you know for posterity reasons.

Well, what you're dealing with right now sounds more like an electrical issue. You may have killed your starter when you dunked it and now all you're hearing is the click of the starter solenoid. I believe I recall an instance when my friend drove his Supra through a deep puddle and when he got back to the car it wouldn't start, and he ended up having to replace the starter in a USF parking lot. I'd just pop the hood and try to let things dry out (easier if you have a garage or if it doesn't rain like it did today, heh).

Before you try to start it again I'd pull the spark plugs as a precaution. If there's still water in the cylinders you could do more harm when it finally cranks. You want to blow the cylinders out by cranking it for a good 30 seconds with the spark plugs out to make sure there's not any water trapped in the cylinders. Often the engine will choke out when the intake sucks pure water and it will stall before it tries to compress water and you run into true hydrolock. Hopefully this is the case and you have no bent rods, cracked pistons, holes in the block, or other nastiness that can occur with true hydrolock.

So anyway, try to let her dry out, if that doesn't get her cranking start tracing the electrics for the ignition and starter system and replace/repair, pull the plugs and crank her over and hopefully it will all work out for you.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.
