Default Mufflers.. Continued

Allrite guys, no wants my damn muffler, so im just gonna go to a shop and have a new one put on. The muffler i have now, doesnt really muffle anything at all, its entirely too loud. I am looking for a muffler with a lower sound. I cant stand the ricer fart cans, what are my options, the car has headers, and 2.5 inch pipe.

Thanks Guys,

Dave

Edit, Its a 1995 Eclipse GS

Maybe the muffler bearings just need greasing?

An oem dodge resonator is a good piece. I have heard them on dsm's and they make a world of difference. Or you could put a new take off muffler. The mufflers people take off of the new mustangs sound ok. A friend put one on an older toyata pickup and it sounded aggressive but not retarted.

Tanabes are usually kinda loud, I would do a magnaflow universal in the rear and some kinda resonator after the cat, the 2g turbo eclipse resonators work very well.
