Hello,Im kinda new to the modding Scene,and im looking to instal some neon under my ZX3 turbo,Led wiper sprayers,and license plate bolts.only problem is I keep hearing mixed signals about them,more than half of my friends say that Neon,and led's on the outside of your car are illegal? is this true? My Brothers girlfriend works for the highway patrol and she says its not illegal,just certian colors are,So I assume Red and or Blue are out of the question right? Wich sux because my interior is Blue and black. Any other color's illegal? Or are they even illegal at all? shes a blonde so idk if she knows what shes talking about ;p But she is employed by FHP,Iv asked her to ask around at work but she always forgets,so can someone shed some light on this and help me out a lil? Also if red and blue are out of the question what color would look good with my silver and black focus? check it out in my garage and give me some input. Thanks.

you can read florida law statutes on it by doing a search on google. Or ask Notladstyle, I think he's the only person on these forums who's gotten more tickets than anyone else in Tampa for illegal color lights.


The BASIC rule though is:

NO red, blue, or dark orange/red lights of ANY kind in the front of the car. Only red in the REAR of the car. Blue cannot be anywhere on the car at all.

Any other color than that should be fine for the most part. Cannot have any that are Flashing/pulsing/phasing. They must be solid-state, very few exceptions.
