All 2002 Ford Lightnings although fast will be distinguished by there Altezza Style taillights. Great. Just what we needed.

 

This just goes along with Lexus installing Altezzas on some of their vehicles.

 

Ive seen two new Lightnings so far and they look so nasty with the altezza lights. Why are they doing this to such nice cars?

 

Just incase you didnt realize it Lexus started putting the lights on there cars first in Japan there is a car called the Altezza hence the Altezza name for the lights then some show freak decided to put Altezza lights on his car then APC decides hey we can make these for everycar and whole ricer trend followed suit.

I mean Lexus in the States. Yes I know of the Altezza in Japan. My whole point was that if Im not mistaken Lexus was the first to join the Altezza craze by installing these lights on their Production vehicles. Thankyou for the info.

 

BTW---the new lightnings with the altezza style lights jumped up from 360hp to 380hp.......just so ya know...

lexus like acura are american based companies. over sees our Lexus IS300 is the Toyota Altezza. They started here by putting a segmented light on the sport ute. It had spearate bulb housings trimmed in gold or silver all surrounded in red (instead of chrome) with a clear lense over everthing. Then they brought the Altezza to the states under the IS300 moniker and the fad took off. Now their sport utes use the chromed housing and has fed the scene more than they think.

very true--- i hear for 2003 they are going to put a big ass honda sticker across the hood---this is rumored to add roughly 40hp at the wheels....crazy huh....
