yeah that new mustang terminator is supposed to make over 400hp......and its supposed to be out in 2002...

 

Believe it or not Ford is actually looking at putting the Lightning motor in a version of the Cobra soon ! And I do not mean the Cobra R. For you non-Ford people that motor is a supercharged 5.4L that moves a 4300 lbs. truck into the 13 second zone in the quarter ! Considering the Cobra weighs almost 1000 lbs. less you do the math. Every 100 lbs. you save is right at .10 in the quarter ! I believe the name of the project is the King Cobra. I have a pic. but no way to post it here I will try to find a link.

P.S. That new Z06 that all of you are talking about is already out. I spotted one on 1-275 a few days ago. They are easy to spot. They have additional grills on the side of the car and a badge on the fender near the door that say 405 HP ! Go get em !

 

I watched MotorTrend TV when they were testing the 405 hp Z06. They turned off the traction control etc. when they were doing acceleration tests. The back end got squirrelly in the 1-2 2-3 and 3-4 shifts if I remember correctly. Lots of yummy power there.

 

i know---the guy that lives across the street has a brand new black z06---i know him but i rarely see him outside or anything so i havent got to talk to him about it yet---but im hoping for a ride in it ASAP

it sucks when ur stuck with a car that outputs nothing and all the new cars are getting faster.

just some notable ones i can think of off the bat:

maxima 265hp
altima 240 (with the optional 3.0 v6)
with the maxima getting the bump so does the i35 (i30 but with 3.5l v6)
whenever the new supra comes out its going to be well over 350hp supposedly with a v8TT? too many rumors still.
the toyota matrix gets the celica gt-s 180hp 1.8L and is still quite light.

the z06 is smokin!
new Si=blah. i hear those hatchies are going to be heavier still than the EK (is this true?)

i will be getting faster as well but everytime i get faster everyone else gets faster too so im still just as slow when compared!

 

Where do you live? Fawn Lake in Citrus Park? Cause my dad has a Black Z06.

i have seen a pictuer of the cobra with the lightning engine in it. they were thinking of calling the cobra lightning. not bad but king cobra is better!!!

 

actually its called the cobra jet thats right just like the old ones.
