John, up top, is right. The new BMW 1 series is pretty darn nice! Even as a hard core Mustang guy, if you want some luxury mixed in, BMW is the way to go!

 

and at the end of the day it would be a shitty chevy, and I doubt a base would be much faster than mentioned cars.

 

A certified Preowned 335i would be in your price range. The 135 has a great engine, but looks like a shrunken clown car version of a 335i.

disregard the comments about corvette's being shitty chevy's, a C5Z06 or C6 corvette would be a great choice. You don't get the luxury with the corvette.

I was in this same boat last November and I landed on the CTS-V. I get all the luxury of a cadillac and the power of a Corvette with my LS6. You can pick one up for 20-30k depending on whether or not you get one Certified Preowned with a 100K mile warranty and the mileage on it.
