Default Getting a car registered.

Ive only bought from private owners before, but Monday I am hopefully purchasing a car from one of those small dealers "Prestige Auto Sales" and I was wondering if they register the car for you, or do you still have to go to the dmv and do all that bs... Also what is the registration fee, Florida sales tax of however much you payed?

they should do it for you, issue you a temp tag and registration to drive the car and you get your originals in the mail.

off topic: just curious.. what kinda car are you buying?

I have a spare tag laying around, would they be able to use that? I put a good deposit down without even thinking I might have to pay for registration lol...

Yea, the dealership should do everything for you. Thats usually why you pay a dealers fee of 300 or so. when i bought my car, i thought i still had to go to the dmv and i did just for them to tell me i wasted my time! the dealership will give you a temp reg. paper untill you renew it and should be able to transfer a tag over. g/l! i hate dealerships. takes forever!
