Default 2009 Acura TSX

MSRP: $28,960 - $32,060

Acura brings us another high performance and high quality ride—the 2009 Acura TSX. The 2009 TSX is a 4-door sports sedan with a 5-passenger maximum capacity. The 2009 TSX comes in 4 trims that ranges from the 5-speed AT w/ Technology Package and the 6-speed MT.

2009 TSX Engine

The 5-Spd AT that come with the Technology Package has a standard I4, 2.4-L, 201 hp engine that can go for up to 30-mpg on the freeway and 21-mpg when driven in the city. It comes with a standard automatic transmission with an overdrive feature.

While the 6-Spd MT on the other hand, has an I4, 2.4-L, 201 hp engine that can go for up to 28-mpg on the freeway and 20-mpg when in the city.

2009 TSX Modifications

The 2009 version of the TSX is the most comparable model to the BMW 3-series in terms of the vehicle’s size and its features. It’s a little bigger than the Mercedes C-Class and the Bimmer, but is considerably less powerful and expensive.

Its closest rival on the sports sedan market might just be the Volvo S40. When it comes to price, the Volvo wins out. But the Acura definitely has a size advantage going for it.

2009 TSX Frame and Chassis

Compared to its previous model, the 2009 TSX has grown in all its dimensions. It has gained 2.6 inches in track, 3.0 inches in the vehicle’s the vehicle’s complete width, 2.5 inches in its length and approximately 1.3 inches in its wheelbase. This provides the new Acura with larger interior room for better ride quality.

Another great sign of TSX improvement is its overall improved aerodynamics. It also comes with dual-mode suspension dampers—a first for Acura.

2009 TSX Safety Features

The sleek and sporty sedan comes with three-point seatbelts, six airbags and head restraints located in all the vehicles seating position. It also has front seatbelt load limiters. The sedan also has LATCH anchor system for child seats, making it an incredibly safe ride.

2009 TSX Electronic Features

The new Acura TSX comes with a wide variety of both standard and optional technologies. The standard Bluetooth connectivity now comes with a HandsFreeLink mobile phone interface. You also have the new folding key that allows for remote entry, the superior quality 7-speakre sound system that comes with AM/FM/XM/CD features, the automatic headlight activation, power passenger seat and the USB port music interface.

If you pick the Technology Package, you’re in for a supreme treat with its 10-speaker sound system, the AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic, the Acura Navigation System and the AcuraLink Satellite Communication System.
