That heppened here at a Hess where I live (PC). Filled my Z from empty and cost me $25. Went back a couple days later and they still hadn't cought it.

 

I honestly don't know. It's a gamble since I live nowhere close to the error. You could either save a buck a gallon or have to just fill your tank normally. Sucks but nobody I know of lives near there to check for me.

 

Ha...I got one to top all of that. There's a station on Balm Riverview that I used to go to all the time, so the store attendants got to know me. Anyway, one day, one of their pumps was no longer sending the data to the computer inside, so the attendant had no way of knowing how much you were pumping. They made people pre-pay. Here's the catch, though. They had no way to stop the pump at the pre-paid amount. So you could pay $5 and fill up!! And they actually told me this. LOL

Course, gas was only $1/gallon back then.

 

Van + hole in floor + high volume pump = Free gas + Jail lol
Or just go old school and dig a tunnel from the neighbors garage and tap the underground tank. lol

Years back one of my distant family members was a truck driver for Shell, every night he would take what was left over in his truck and unload it into an underground tank he had installed in his back yard. He did that shit for years before getting nailed.
