Default Anybody Know of a Good Engine Cleaning Product?

Hey guys, I just put my old car together again to use as a daily driver, it sat for almost 2 years and has 205,000 miles on it. Don't hate, it looks and runs great. Shiny paint and totally even compression across the board. My only problem is this...the bay is fucking FILTHY. It has years of caked oil and dust from sitting. I'd like to get it clean so I can make sure there are no new oil leaks. Can anyone recommend a good product to clean the engine bay? I'd prefer something that you can spray on, let it sit, and then hose off. I'm not looking to put a shitload of work into this... ergo, it doesn't have to be perfect. I'd just like to see metal again.

Thanks.

Simple Green works good but I hear it etches aluminum. Try some orange stuff, that usually works and it smells great.

Amsoil Power foam is a real good engine degreaser that you dont have to put a lot effort in to clean up your engine bay

I was gonna say purple power and a pressure washer... like the car pressure washers that aren't too powerful...

I've heard about people using that stuff... I didn't think the motor would get hot enough for it to work...

It works faster on hot surfaces. I've used it at room temp. to remove 30 yr old undercoating from the firewall. Just spray it on and let it stand overnight, gooey shit just wipes off.
