Default Traffic ticket question.....

A couple of weeks ago i received 2 traffic tickets in Pinellas county...

i was actually late for a meeting!

1st infraction:

unlawful speed on a county road...62 in a 45...

2nd infraction:
improperly displayed tag (i ride a motorcycle and it is not in its stock location)

here is the situation...

i was clocked on brian dairy road just after the bridge heading towards starkey...yeah yeah yeah i know they always clock there..my dumb fault lol

so he clocks me there...and he eventually pulls me over just before starkey...

The Dept that tagged me was P-Park...

P-Parks city limits is about a quarter mile to half a mile before starkey rd.

now im not fighting the tag

but as far as i know i got pulled over by pinellas park pd in PCSO territory...

he didnt take that long to catch up to me...he followed me the whole time up and to just before starkey then lit me up.

my question is is this worth fighting claiming that he was out of his rights to pull me over in another jurisdiction for a non felony moving violation...

also on the ticket for where it states i was pulled over was the 6600 block of pinellas park...not where i was actually pulled over at...

is it worth the fight?

im most likely going to use a lawyer anyways just to keep points of my license due to the fact i get points on my license i lose my job :/

any feedback would be great

thanks for reading through this WHOLE novel

nope, most likely got you within p park...however Pinellas County has mutual aid agreement that allows for traffic enforcement on city bordering roads.

location on the cite is where he got you doing whatever, not where the stop was made.

I may be wrong, but they have dual jurisdiction. Besides, it's very difficult to try to get rid of a ticket by claiming wrong jurisdictions...if you were speeding in their territory, and they can prove it, which they can, they'll pull you over.

Improperly displayed tag isn't a moving violation...they can't give you points for that.

Why don't you just take one of the defensive driving classes on the internet for like $30. Unless you've already taken as many as is legally allowed, you won't get any points on your license.

eh i realized after doing some searches on the net im fucked on the ticket.

and biggest thing is..im still fairly young...and i would like to save the classes for when i need them...not take them all at once.

i know the plate violation carries no points.

but i have hired a lawyer as it is to at the very most get me just some court fines and no points on my license (this will be cheaper than paying the fines all together)

biggest thing is i want no points on my license.

points=fucked and losing my job

Your job would fire you for point on your license? Holy crap. How often do they run MVR's?

the insurance co is very strict....they want you to have no points on your license...

i work for sunstar and the policies to drive a 6 ton ambulance are very very strict
i can kind of see why...they really dont want an idiot behind the wheel of one of these..in the wrong hands it can be very fatal...

On my cite last week he wrote down where the stop was made, not where he tagged me at. Can I get out of this?
