Default Trying to figure out lug pattern difference

someone with a audi a4 has the rims I want and they want to trade for my wheels. My lug pattern is 5x114.3 with like a 40mm offset I believe and his is 5x112. Is there anyway to make them fit if the offset is the same on both, without having them stick out like a inch from wheel adapters?

You need wheel adapters. Or Audi knuckles...
