Default Which one ? 99-03 Crown vic p71 or 00-03 Deville

Im looking to see whats out there for a new DD.

Ive pretty much narrowed it down between the the Crown vic and Deville.

There both pretty close to each other in price.

Cadillac is alittle more expensive.

99-03 crown vic P71
80-100k miles $4500-5500

goods

Know it was maintained.
RWD

not so good
Not as good ride as caddy
not always have carpet

2000-2003 Cadillac Sedan deville
80-100k miles $5500-6000

Goods
Ride
Interiors leather
N* v8

not so good
Price
maintaince
FWD

Ive owned a 96 cadillac deville so i have alittle history with them and loved the ride of it.

Oppions on these two please... or other cars of the same Class.

It will be a DD comfort and decent mileage not about who quickest.

Plus the both have a big back seat.

I've heard the reliability with the 00+ Devilles are a little questionable. Though, they do have the 275 or 300hp (depending on trim) Northstar, which is an awesome motor as long as you have oil. And considering you've had a DeVille before, I'm sure you know that. The only Crown Vics without carpet should be the Police Interceptors, which you don't compare to a Cadillac because CVPI's are definitely far from luxury. What about a Lincoln?

It's a good toss-up. I'd say go with an 02+ Crown Vic LX-Sport, mainly because it's RWD. It's all up to you though.

get the vic. iam sure you know the caddy will NOT be cheap to fix, the vic will. the fwd V8s are a HUGE pain to work on. They both will SUCK at mpg though. but the caddy will need 93, not sure about the vic. Why not get soemthing with better mpg for a daily?

there were alot of issues that were supposed to be fixed with 2000+ but some still seem to be there.

Im not really looking at crown vics that arnt the P71. I know the cvpi`s arnt really luxury but compared to a 84 celica they are.

I dont like the looks of the lincon town car that much, would consider an ls tho.

RWD to FWD shouldnt matter much to me since its not a bout perforamce. but it would be nice to have RWD if i decide to go that route.

and the crown vic will have better support.

the caddy was not cheap to fix but it wasnt bad.

As for mpg i dont know what you consider sucking but to me 20-24 city is good... Shit my caddy got 20 city with my driving and cruise set on 70 on the highway she got 28-30.

All though the vic will probably be what i end up getting because the overall lower cost.

That's beautiful, lol. Low mileage for PI's and what a great fuckin' price!

You checked out any of the LX-Sports though?
