Here's a sedan G35, which is heavier, and driven by Car & Driver to high 13s stock.

too bad the car in question is an 04 g35 sedan which cant run mid to high 13's stock, and actually the coupe weighs 100lbs more than the sedan. get your facts straight before you post

 

I've seen a '07 Nissan 350Z at the track do 12s with just an intake and drag radials. I see no reason why a G35 couldn't run 12s with full bolt ons since it's the same motor with about 150lbs. extra chassis weight.

Seriously though, why is this so hard to believe? On the dyno the newer G35s put about 270-280whp. With bolt ons you should get a few more, shy of 300whp. I would think that could place a G35 in the 12s.

If you want to get at it even more, and compare the 2008 Civic Si to the 2008 Infiniti G35, then it loses even worse, since the newer G35 has a 3.7L V6 with 330hp.

 

Ummm. the thread title says 08 SI vs. Infinity G35. He didn't specify the year. Yes the '04 G35 were poop, but after that they were decent cars and more than capable than betting a Civic Si.

It seems like there is a video in this exact thread showing that the g35 is a tad faster than the SI....I'd be willing to put $$$$$ on the stock 04 g35 beating a stock si. BTW the guy put sedan on the g35 but earlier in the thread he said that it was a coupe

 

This thread FAILS the year and model G35 changes every 2 sec. Poll says 04 sedan first post says 05 coupe, which is it ?
