hey man you might want to have a shop do it.
anyone can just replace the O-ring for you in whatever line leaked, and go by the car recharge and fill it for ya, but once you take apart a line to install the new o-ring, your letting normal air into the lines, for a/c before you charge it, it needs to be in a vacuum state... so if you do have someone do it for you, make sure they vacuum the system first. i had this done last year in my last car from Tuffys, it cost me like 43 dollars i think, not too bad. just make sure its done right, if you just charge it without vacuum'ing, you can risk contamination in refrigerant and risk ruining the compressor.

yah it usually is the o-ring, the o ring itself is cheap, its the ref. that costs the money, its like so much a ounce... and your car can take about 1.5 pounds... average, idk what the real number is.

also you might want to get a orfice tube too while attacking the system, because you wouldnt buy one o-ring, you would buy a bag they sell with every o ring in it from autozone for like 8 bucks, and replace them all while your already in there with it, and the orfice tube ya should replace just because its a cheap fix, and it cant hurt, im sure the one in there now must have some buildup on it.

its a filter in one of the lines that filters out particles that can hurt other components of the ac system, theres another name for it, but if you call and ask for orfice tube they will know what your talking about. its a cheap item.
