thats why i hate taking any car to a shop. Atleast if i do the work i know where my car has been and whos been driving it lol

oh back to the topic.
Yeah, i'd be crazy pissed. My friend in NC is having a problem like this with his 240. I would go down there and talk to the owner, not the guy working on your car and till him that whats going on is bullshit and word will get around and that waiting list will turn into them waiting for someone to bring in a car.4 months to install a single turbo kit? no way, not even if they fab'd EVERYTHING for it.

Holy shit.
I'd threaten legal action. Like everyone else says, check your mileage.

Hes not driving my car. Its a rotary specialist shop and the owner/mechanic has a fully built FD. I dont wanna give him crap over the phone or email because he still has my car and I dont want him to take longer or do a shitty job.. If I dont get answers today im going down there tomorrow.

I have learned the hard way that 90% of most mechanics and shops in general, suck. They either take too long, are too expensive, do shoddy work, drive your car, participate in shady activities etc.

It's always something.

I will not say ALL shops are crap...but most are.

If I were in your shoes right now, I would call him. No e-mail, call him. Or better yet, go down there. Be very straight forward and tell him exactly how you feel. You've waited 4 months, you've spent $xxxx, and you're not happy with how this has gone down and tell him you need your car yesterday.

You already mentioned it but I think you learned a lesson about paying them upfront. That automatically puts you at the bottom of their priority list.

is the pope catholic?

but in all seriousness, that's total bullshit. if he's driving your car that obviously it's completed to an extent. drive up there, playing phone tag with shops doesn't do shit, until you go up there face-to-face there is no sense of rushing to the shop alot of times

when i had the fd (track car) i sent it to a shop (that will remain nameless) to have a single done very similar to your position. a 3 week job turned in to a month and a half, i had some free time and went to the shop and hung around; the car wasn't even prepped for the new gear to go in, my wheels where on the 'shop car' and the rubber which was fairly new was very thin, my car was done 3 days later and brand new 555r's where on the wheels. i told the shop head over whatever he was they needed to be replaced with the advan a048s that where on them when the car came to the shop. they apologized for it taking so long and i received a nice discount (parts + very little labor cost), kept the 555s and they had a set of a048s shipped to my house

after that until i sold it it went to west palm for any work it needed done

I would tell them that you would write an account of your experience, including the name of the shop and mechanic that worked on your car, and publish it on a public forum with over 50,000 members, most of whom are car enthusiasts.
