How Would I Go About Getting A Title?
So my buddy gave me a car without a title. Said he never had one since he's owned it and neither did the guy that he got it from years ago... So how would I go about getting one, or is it pretty much impossible?
what else is proof outside of a title and a pair of keys?
there is a vehicle abandonment law, i just have no idea how many days it is

well why dont u try and find the guy who ur friend bought it off of then just keep going back till u find the guy with the title? and if that doesnt work go file for a lost title and say that the title was thrown away by mistake by a previous owner or somthing.

Instruction - Certificate of Title Form
You do need proof of ownership, I assume. This could either be the vehicle insured in your name or the bill of sale from the previous owner. It looks as though the signature of the previous owner is enough. My bet is the latter. Hopefully you got a bill of sale that both of you signed...otherwise it could be viewed as a stolen vehicle.
But print out the form, fill it out, take it to the county tax collector (tag office) pay the $29.95 fee and there you go, new title.
Or just go with no title. If you have the bill of sale and the car is registered in your name...you'll never have need for the title. Just let the guy you sell the car to take care of it.

no idea, but if I had to guess I'd say tag agency
