Default help with little problem...

i got pulled over today for my window tinting being too reflective and my sunscreen strip going below the as-1 line. i didnt think too much of it when i bought the car but apparently the cop thought he needed to stop me for this. so does anyone know how to remove window tinting fast and easy? (i dont need another citation... they said they could stop me again for the same thing and issue another citation... the same day.) i need to remove it from all windows. side, rear (i dont have any defroster lines) and would like to take off a little bit of the suncreen strip, just to put it at the as-1. does anyone know how to do this? i would much rather do it myself than take it to a tint shop. it cant be to hard... but ive heard stories of people screwing up their entire tint... help? thanks.

i really think it would be advisable to take it to a tint shop, they normally charge next to nothing for stuff like this...

Well, if you're removing it then you can't really screw your tint up. I removed the tint from my front windows two days ago using goo gone and a razor blade. It works best when its hot, so get a heat gun if you can and it should be a breeze.

+1, Goof Off is a better adhesive remover though. Just take off the front strip and have a tint shop slap another one on for $15 bucks. You will NEVER get a clean line if you do it yourself.

i did it and it was really easy. only hard part is finding the edge where to start from and from there its just peel off. the glue is another story... i still need to take some of that off but its fine now. does anyone know how much a tint shop would cost? for two windows and sunscreen strip?? i dont think it would be too much but i havent had to deal with this too much.
