I had a blast! Def worth $25. Walked around and saw all the cars trailers and talked to a few guys on the pit crews. I def have to agree the ALMS are the shit. The Ferrais are fuckin sick, so was the Aston Martin.

 

What was with the other vetter with the black back half, im assuming it was a different team then the other 2?

Also, how do the classes work.. There are different classes that run together right? im assuming so since some look like race cars and others are regular cars.. Also, what are the little lights for on the side of the car?

 

There was I believe 4 classes, GT1 GT2 which were the vettes vipers etc. then P1 and P2 which are the audis, then open cock pit cars. The half black vette with a c5 I believe and its LG motorsports. I dont know about he lights I would assume its a safety thing.

 

yup, it was a fantastic experience and I encourage everyone to go even if you dont like cars that much the whole experience will change your mind and the fans to driver/pits/teams interaction is just phenomenal

 

GT2- porsche, ferrarri, Ford GT, Viper, LG vette(other vette)
GT-2- C6R vettes, Aston Martin

P2- Porsche RS Sypder, Acuras, Mazada, and the all blue one. I never caught what that is

P1- Audi, Creation.

The lights on the side of the car are another way to tell what class the car is in; each class has its own color designation. Its to make it easier to tell which class the car is at night.

 

damn had a blast today, burnt to a crisp. We bought general admn tickets and snuck into the front stretch grand stands and didnt get bothered at all. The ALMS cars are sweet!

 

watched the race on t.v and it was a good one.sad to see the Viper get destroyed but damn those Audis are dominant.

 

We had a blast out there today! I recomend that everyone go to this event next year. Here is some of the 300 somthing pics we snapped off... I'll upload the crash pics and the paddock pics when I get some sleep...
