Part of the changes I have coming for TR involve making the classifieds system better.

Out of the 2 options we have now, ie the forums, and the classifieds system installed, which do you like better.

If you dont like either, but have a link to a system you DO like, feel free to post it up.

I am open to comments about what works and doesnt work, and what features are important to you.

I'm in for the forum system myself. It's simple yet proven to be effective throughout many forums. The only thing I do like about a classifieds system is the overall format, but to be its more confusing for users who are not as familiar with the vbulletin software.

the plan is to go one way or another. I've had requests for categorisation (ie adding more cetegories) and the software is much easier for that.. also software can do auctions and the forums cannot.

 

yeah ive used the classifieds before, its ok but it can get confusing sometimes.

 

The forums are by far the best, it keeps the scammers honest by allowing people to post up when there are ridiculous prices, bad sellers, and also to provide reviews, alternatives, and testimonials to good sellers and good products.

The problems are people abusing the posting system my bumping their posts a million times as well as commercial postings that clutter the by owner posts and the year old posts that are bumped by noobs.

Actually, maybe I should stop bitching about it and apply to be a mod of the fs forums so i can do something about it...

 

i tried offering to mod the cars fr sale but i dont think im mod friendly.
