This debate has long pissed me and my friends off. For one i am a domestic guy, i hate imports. But that cannot be enough. Because i also hate POS cars like the chevy cavalier as well. And to my demise is the release of the 365 HP Hyundia Genisis. Which could very well be classified as a Muscle car. But this is not why i started this thread, because as i am sure you all know everybody has an opion on this and i dont really care to hear it anyway.

So i some to asking No Muscle or Tunner, nor Domestic vs import. What about the inbetween cars? What is an inbetween car you might ask. Well i will bring to the table for example the 1982 - 1992 camaro. and or also the 1993-1998 camaro.

Now most people say that the camaro is a muscle car, but i say it is inbetween. Yes it rides, feels, and sounds like a muscle car, but it dosent have the performance of a muscle car, considering a saturn is faster. (off the line anyway).

So what do you feel of those inbetween cars. The cars that can be taken to tunner style performance, or taken to a muscle drag car performance? And how do you define either?

 

I think brands are bastardizing their cars even more nowadays trying to come out with stuff that will sell, and we will begin to see a period of inbred cars.

i wouldn't classify a camaro as anything even close to a tuner in a million years. just because it doesn't have some of the best performance out of domestic cars makes it between a domestic and a tuner? that makes no sense, both imports and muscle have their fast cars and their not so fast car.

no i am not talking about the v6 camaro, i am talking about the 305. and dont get me started on the l98 350 ( its a pos). it is a 3100 lb 170hp pos i mean it sounds good, but it has the quality of a family for door sedan. and its slower too. it can considered a tunner because one could slap in a inner cooler and 2 tubos, change the ecu and experince the same power as dropping in a LT1 350 (better engine) and a supercharger. the only difference is going to be the sound that is created.

but then why exactly would you never consider a camaro a tunner? what is your reason.

Welcome to the oldest debate know to these forums. I at first figure this was some copy pasta with the whole "me and my stupid friends like dumb arguments that make us beat each other up" bit. But apparently not. In your 5 posts so far you have managed to make your self out as a 16 year old who just so happen to get a 4 cyl fox body as his first car and immediately knows everything about muscle cars and their vast superiority.

 

its not so much caring about brand prejudice or catogorizing cars, though they do that themselves. and as far as modern cars and inbreds go, would you consider modern civics evo's etc.. as inbreds?
