I dont think a lawsuit would stand up in court. They are not responsible for theft or damages in the parking lot.

i honestly don't think a lawsuit would do anything either... then i would be out more money... it sucks... just rolling with the punches... not to mention the cop that came to the scene probably kept my license and military id card... I've torn my house and both cars up looking for it and it's no where... i think he's just too lazy too look for it..

 

i feel for u. i bought a car off a guy that i met on TR. not even 2 weeks later it was stolen out of my driveway at 2am. by the time i got it back (9hrs later @ 11am) there was nothing left in it...just the shell and the motor. i would never buy a car off TR again.

ive bought 9 cars on TR...and never had one stolen,can you guess why? thats right its called a garage...so dont act like all of TR are thieves.

 

Yeah man that seems like the best idea bro. If you drive a car hot like that it makes a lot more sense to get a garage or at least get into an apartment complex/condo that has garages and/or ACTUAL security and I don't mean some guy walks around the complex every other day when he feels like I mean there is a security guard AT THE GATE that signs people in and out, asks who you're visiting if you don't live there etc.. A lot of places in good neighborhoods have situations like that.

 

there are so many what ifs and should haves... and what not it's getting rediculous... the point is no matter what if someone wants your car bad enough they will take it. I was under the assumption that my neighbor hood was okay since they "have security features" but I now know since they are telling me the shit doesn't work now. An alarm might have stopped them.. it might not... a garage might have stopped them but people still break into houses... those are all things that would deter most criminals... I apprecaite the kinda words from everyone and yes... HIND SIGHT is 20/20 and if you don't know what that means it's like... when you look back on a situation you see everything that you could have or should have done. I am looking into buying a house now. someone comes in my shit I shoot to kill. end of story on that.

damn im pissed for u. i say contact the guy u bought it from, that sounds real fishy that it got stolen like that. maybe someone didnt wanna sell their car but needed money and found a way to get both
