Ive never owned a NEW car or a close to new car. My main question is if I buy a used car, a 2004 to around 2006 from a private owner will it still have a factory warranty? Im looking to get a NEWish car and a warranty is a must! I did a little bit of searching before asking this question and didnt really find a straight up answer so I figured you guys could let me know from personal experience or w/e..Thx -Eric

 

It depends on the vehicle make. Most of the time an original warranty can be transfered to the new owner, but sometimes they will charge a fee to do this. It's usually not much though... Maybe $200 or so.

It's best to find out from the seller if their warranty is transferable, since not every warranty is the same.
