Question Wheel Spacers ??

Anyone use universal wheel spacers? I saw some at PepBoys for $8 each which were 5/16" thick and made by Rally. I didn't like how the holes were a lil big and looked like if used, could result in unbalanced wheel vibration. I've seen some wheel spacers online that are direct fit to your specific bolt pattern. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

Like you, I prefer wheel spacers without such big holes,
although pieces can be made that will center the spacer
on the studs. You might try sliding some rubber hose/same
thickness as the spacer, over the studs to center it...................not perfect, but better than the big holes with spacer offset/out
of balance.-Bob

I have those on my car. Purchased them from NAPA for $21.99. I tried centering them the best I could while putting the wheel on and holding the wheel in place with two lug nuts. Biggest pain in the ass. It was last minute and I'm still shopping for some better ones. Normal driving and highway seems fine. Anything over 80+mph I feel a small vibration. I would look for some with a smaller bolt circle and correct center bore.

Ok thanks a lot fellas! My theory was right, so I'm glad I didn't buy those from PepBoys.

Go with the hub-centric ones. I carry Ichiba spacers. Here is a link.
