Default Advice for used wheel shopping?

Im going to look at a set of used Ray's Engineering G-Games 77W 2 piece wheels this monday. The seller has a really good price on them, and they come with tires (I don't know which kind yet, forgot to ask).

I trust the seller, but I'd like any advice you folks could offer regarding any defects or warning signs to look for on used wheels.

Ask wheather there are curbs, bends, or vibration at approx. 60MPH. Just verify your bolt pattern, and offset.

What vehicle were they on, and what vehicle are you trying to put them on ...

They came off a 350z, which is what Im planning on putting them onto. The bolt pattern and offset are identical.

take them to a wheel shop and have them put it on the rotating machine, im not sure what its called, if it spins in a perfect circle its fine if not it has some sort of damage and will give you uneven tire wear, vibrations, etc.

Well I went and checked out the wheels, and they looked fantastic. The seller was upfront and showed me where he had had the lips repolished due to some really minor curb rash (repolishing looks fantastic by the way).

I put a deposit down on them, just waiting for the next paycheck (or hopefully christmas bonus) to hit to go square up with him.

By the way, I've had a couple people recommend picking up Gorilla lugs for the new wheels. Right now Ive just got the OEM lug nuts with one locking lug on each. Is it worth it?

make sure that your new wheels don't require special lugs. Often times, they use a different seat than stock

if they don't require special lugs then your OEM wheel lock will work well, and get the others in something similar to these

tuner lugs

gorilla's all you have to do is pound a 17mm socket on there to get them off

don't use Gorillas. Get some Muteki or any spline drive lug nuts.
