08 Cobalt SS... Turbocharged!
sweet, but I just loathe the looks of cobalts, event hr SS is meh to me. I needs to get the same treatment the new Malibu got. I wish they would do a turbo 2.4 AWD malibu for $25k. Id by one then.

My 2007 Camry does 14.6 in the 1/4 mile.
14.1 doesn't seem that fast.

14.1 is stock..... exhaust would probley make the thing come alive considering chevy seems like to like to restrict the exhaust and intake on there performance cars
i might have to go n test drive one in a few months

Uhh.. the F20C puts out 1.96 hp/ci.. naturally aspirated. And when you're talking about straight line cars, no one cares about hp/ci, only power/weight.

eh. I don't like the packaging they did with the engine bay. The way the piping and intake box is situated, looks like they just built a decent turbo engine and then half assed the turbo setup. Regardless, I'm sure it will make decent power with mods, as any turbo car does. It must have direct injection if it has the cam driven fuel pump like Mazda does (direct injection runs up near 1600psi
)
it has launch control, i'm wondering if thats a traction control or just a stock 2 step kinda deal? they should make the LSD included. i bet more than half of them will be sold open diff, pretty much making it a $20K+ 15 second car.
I'll keep my Mazdaspeed. It runs slightly faster and is built 1000x better.
It will be fun to see MS3 vs Cobalt SS vs Caliber SRT-4 soon though. Minus the Mazda, the other 2 should be fairly cheapo, so kids who didn't get a chance at owning a Skittle can now fulfill their dreams on one of these heaps.
Now some other companies need to step it up with offerings. I'd like to see there be a Focus model that's actually fast, a Scion tC model that's actually fast, and perhaps a decent Nissan offering. I'd say Honda, but they seem to want to stick to n/a performance, which is great, but they're gonna keep hovering around the 200hp mark, far below what these other pocket rockets are doing nowadays.
