TR Sold Out!
Is this a serious post?

^ Yeah seriously. I don't care if you hate imports. If you are on this forum or live in the area and have any interest in cars, you know what DC is.
I don't mind this one bit at all either. If the logo was moved towards the middle like someone posted before, it would look alot better and less cluttered.
BTW did BAMF get banned from GGC?

I don't see what the problem is. Not only is it a pain in the ass dealing with the trouble people cause on these forums on an hourly basis (as I know from the time I spent as a mod), but add the cost of running the site to that pain and I'd be looking for any reasonable way for the site to pay its own bills.
The only caveat- it's great, as long as it doesn't influence the editorial position of the moderators. I've seen forums in which a guy will come in and post "X Shop screwed me out of $7000- I have pics and receipts to prove it. Stay Away!" And then the owner of the shop, who happens to sponsor the forum, comes in and posts "That's a lie, I never promised you that, etc" and the mods follow up with a lock, delete, and/or ban.
However, I trust the integrity of the people in charge here so I don't think that will be a problem. If they'd wanted to sell out you'd think they'd have found a more profitable way to do it in the last 7-going-on-8 years.

Thanks DC! I think its a great idea.
They definitely do more than imports however. If you really want to know what they do, you should go by or check out their forum to see the custom fabrication and paint they do for all applications.

I'll be negative, I don't like it.
Personally I hate all ads in all forms, and it also seems to be a conflict of interest.
But hey more power to you, its your site.

Sponsoring a forum doesnt buy a shop anything more than getting their name out there, and being able to run banners in their sig. its the same concept as buying banner advertising at the to of the site except its for a specific forum only.
We play no favorites and its why as much as possible I try to make sure our staff are not shop owners. If they happen to be, then its made clear to them they get no special privileges at all.
