i mean u never see a z31 modded 
i go down SR 60 and see at least 10 "modd'ed" 240's
and the VG's are shit y?? I mean the KA isent obviously good either, its not in production anymore is it?? and the SR?
lets see 4 cyl w/ no power stock
or a v6 turbo w/ a decent amount of power stock AND a strong simple motor

find a Z31?, hmmm ever try carsoup.com or autotrader.com? The guy that is saying 240's are better.....think again, the KA in japan was used as the "truck" engine, if you do ever consider a 240 find one with a CA18 in it already (its the REAL stock engine for a 240) I dont think at all the VG's are shit, I lined up next to a 240 on the strip and pwned him....I am NOT saying its faster than ALL 240's I am merely stating the VG has more potential.

dude you really don't make any sense. 240's are better. it's a fact. 300zx's rear semi trailing arm suspension is crappy and outdated, yeah stock for stock the vg is better than a ka/ca/sr, but sr's imo have much better aftermarket support. also stock in the untied started no 240sx came stock with a ca unless you count the older 200sx's which had the single cam ca turbo garbage. and no i won't fall in love i hate v6's.

I wasnt meaning you, good for you that you hate V6's woot?, this isnt really your decision is it? Its gdudly's and there is plenty of aftermarket for the Z, it includes doing research but it is all there.

i'm trying to help the guy out with a better car for his money, yeah you have to search for aftermarket stuff, where as 240 aftermarket stuff is everywhere, as well as replacement parts in case something happenes. yeah the v6 thing is my opinion, i'm just giving the kid another choice which would make more sense for a first car.

ok, I see. I must say I am happy with the 240....I have one, they are nice cars. I honestly would go for a 240, VG's are nice for crusin of course I cant really say what they feel like lol they are nice. My 240 as of now is my DD (daily driver) and I am going to be auto-x ing and building up my Z, I have turbo parts and all by the end of next year it should (if im lucky) have around 300 - 450 HP. call me crazy but thats my goal.
