Seriously, stick to 5600K

30000K is pink. And don't retrofit it to blind the fuck out of oncoming cars. Get some kind of housing or cutoff.

getting HIDs in such a high color range will not only look very hideous, but they actually have LESS light output than regular crappy Halogen bulbs.

Also make sure to get it installed properly. Simply throwing them in your current housing will make the light scatter in a very ugly pattern, and you'll be shining pink in every other car's eyes. Retrofit it properly with good lenses (EXTREMELY important to focus light properly and actually make the HIDs very useful), a good cutoff (usually the lenses provide this in some way), and get a decent color temperature. if you really want to make yourself look like a weirdo, then you should only go about as high as 8,000k. This is more of a deep purplish hue without being too much crappier than a Halogen bulb.

Setting up HIDs in highbeams are relatively useless. If you're planning on flashing them at people, that will severely reduce the lifespan of the bulb, on top of the fact that the HIDs need time to warm up properly for the first time they're turned on in a 30 minute or more off-period.

I could go on and on, but the general answer is don't do it, get a nice, decent color temp HID kit to retrofit them into your low beam housing with a good lens that incorporates a good cutoff.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

Whoever told you to get those retarded high color temps is an idiot. I believe 30K would be a certain percentage purple, and another percentage giving sunburns to pedestrians. Fail. 10K for lowbeams is moronic, everyone will hate you, your car, and you will be another perfect reason why people hate Honda's.
4300-5700 K is the perfect range for cars. The sun has a photoshpere temperature of 5778 Kelvins, and the best natural light for vision is 5500 K.

4300? Thats what came stock on my car... they were extremely bright... especially the brights (also 4300k) Ended up upgrading.... bought a few sets.... 6000k and 8000k.... I currently have the 8000k now... but I do think I like the 6000k more. The only reason I like the 8000k is the color.
