A stock CSL has 355 hp. It was way over priced at £20k over the normal M3.

The CS was only 2400 more and was much more popular.

5 seconds means nothin on the ring.

but it's realy impressive he was better than Walter Röhrl......but he "only" had a stock Porsche GT2!!
I remember that article in "Auto Bild Sportscars", they compared that Porsche against a Bike at the Nordschleife.

wonder how the time would be if Walther Röhrl or Hans Joachim Stuck would have driven that CSL.

Walther Röhrl

Hans Joachim Stuck

theres a longer video but I cant find it right now, I'm sure it was postet on TR somewhere.
Heres another where Stuck drives the X5 LeMans V12

so the m3 has less power, more weight, front engine compared to mid engine, costs alot less, and 5 seconds is nothing! no thats something buddy. thats fucken awesome. especially when u see the vid and realize how much he got held up by traffic.

and i was referring to the carrera gt, not the gt2

and this is a quote from gladiator on m3forum, the guy that owns the car:

"By the way, the GTR did 7:12 on slicks & the EDO porsche did 7:15 with Pirelli D7 Qualifiers, that is slicks also, they just last ONE lap on Nordschefe.

Why do I know that...we got a call from Pirelli the very same day we did 7:22:85 and they offered us D7 Qualifiers hmm yes they did. They guarantee 10 sec... As so many of us know, in this tight level of competition, its all about the tires. And anothert thing, these cars didn't have company on the track"

oh whoopsie you are right, I muddled up the statistics, mixed the time from the Carrera GT with the GT2.

but i still wonder how the time would be if walther röhrl would drive it...awesome time that guy did anyways
