Default SPIKE TV’S “Need for Speed -Pro Street” documentary film

TR,
My buddy Antonio from Cipher Media Group sent me this info and thought you may want to look out for it Sunday morning. looks pretty good.

To friends and fam!

Some of you guys might already know about this, but for those of you who haven’t heard… I have been working with EA Games on a film project for much of this year – SPIKE TV’S “Birth of Pro Street” documentary film, which deals with illegal street racers (both drag racing and drifting) who have made the transition into professional motorsports careers!

Myself, along with Chris Rado, Stephan Papadakis, Tanner Foust, Calvin Wan, JR Gittin, Ken Gushi, Robbie Nishida, Ross Petty, the Twins Turbo guys, Ken Miyoshi, Oscar Jackson, John Naderi, Samuel Hubinette, Ryuji Miki, Ryan Sage, Jarod DeAnda, Toshiki Yoshioka, Eri Moriyama, Joyce Lex, Michelle Anderson, and several other people representative of youth automotive culture have been featured in this insightful documentary film!

It will debut with a special screening on THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at 1:00AM (tomorrow night! technically, 1:00am means Sun, Nov 11) on SPIKE TV!

For those of us who will probably still be out partying on Saturday night between 1-2am, make sure to set your DVRs and TIVO!

You can watch the full length, official trailer by going to this page and clicking on “The Birth of Need For Speed Prostreet” (the skull icon)

I thought it was really good! They had alot of the new guys on there but if you really want to the know about the industry and the lifestyle, guys like Ken Miyoshi (originator of Import Showoff. Way before HIN was even thought of) put the import scene on the map. I've been in the business along time and have spent time with alot of these guys in Cali and Vegas. For those of us that live this lifestyle it is awesome to see the large following and where the industry has come in just a few short years. Hopefully you will be able to see it again. I have it on DVR but dont know how to get it on here.

I think they know who is really dominating the streets now. lol JK. I know alot of guys that have gone back and forth between both the imports and domestics. Detroit is just as popular in the drifting scene now as the imports and the sport originated in Japan. Why..... $ and recognition. Sales make the world go round and this just happens to be a good place to market. I think the import boys run huge slicks, blowers (turbos) and wheelie bars also but we're not in the 60's and 70's anymore so times are a changin and they are using that terminology to reach the demographic that will keep them a float another year!! You know this..
