Most people say that with superchargers you can't get any power which is not true. You are limited to power depending on application, for example I built a GSR motor, had Larry at endyne work the supercharger, added a LHT intercooler and got a s300 and had my car tuned in Phoenix were the dyno room was 112 degrees I came out with 276 Whp and 216.7 pounds of torque on pump gas with a summer tune. A friend has a RSX type S with a drag turbo that during winter tune pulled 350 Whp but with his summer tune runs around 270 Whp. People always assume that bigger horsepower numbers equall faster cars which is not always true. Dave Chan of Import Powerhoue here in Phoenix ran a built GSR which produced 242 whp N/A and ran a 10.8 second quarter mile. If you look at Central Floridas Turbos honda civic it has 749 whp and only ran like a best 10.2. Really horsepower doesnt mean alot if you cant do anything with it.

while I'm not totally disagreeing with you, your comparisons are inherently flawed. Do you have the weights of the cars in comparison?

 

This is not a commercial its fact, the NA car weighed 1800 pounds and the Civic I am not sure but its a drag car. I know another car from SRD Superior Racing Development who had a 600 whp full turbo drag car weighing in at 2100 pounds running 10.60's.

 

And you claim that a 242whp GSR ran a 10.xx 1/4 mile. I want to see the slip.

edit... and there is a big difference between 10.2 and 10.8

i cant but call b.s on the claim of the ten second 242 h.p gsr teggy or civic. i would put that car at real good 13 second run W/two step LSD RTRANNY and a good driver. I cant confidently say 12s. But in 100 plus degree heat i doubt your even gonna get twelves.
