How do you wash your car?
I want to know how everyone else washes their cars.. all of my friends think i wash mine pretty weird..
This is how i do it if my car already has wax on it:
once a week i'll grab a rag and the hose and just go over the whole car.. no soap or car wash..just a rag and water.. before i start i'll spray the wheels with wheel cleaner and let it sit until i clean the whole car.. once im done with the car i will spray my wheels off and then spray more wheel cleaner on and take a different rag and clean it.. then spray them off, dry it with a few towels, take it for a drive, then come back and do the interior and put tire shine on and im done..
and i wax it every three weeks..

MrNiceGuy: So you don't use any soap?!?!?!
When washing a car.... the soap acts as a lubricant between the dirt particles and your paint so you won't get scratches/swirl marks as easy.

yea i dont use soap either.. i spray the water hose on a light mist as i'm cleaning the car..
i dont use wheel cleaner on my own cars
ill rinse the car, start at the top with soap from my supplier, nice wool mitt. start at the top of the car without using circular motions, but work around the car in a circular fashion if you know what i mean. hitting the lower panels last. while not forgetting the door, trunk jambs!
i dry with a microfiber chamois.
i clean the engine compartment every other time
then use the dirty water on my wheels, with the soap. using my wheel brush (looks like a Christmas tree) to get the inside, then a white terry cloth to get the outside.
then pull it in after i rinse it, keeping the pressure washer water on, but the motor off so i can mist the car to clay it. then my detail process which ill keep a secret.
it gets washed once or twice a week, detailed every other. car looks as good as it did 7 years ago, when i started to detail it before i even owned it for my neighbor
ive been detailing on my own for 7 years, done it at my BMW dealership for 3 years.
this is my quick blurb. i had to do a speech for some of my classes, and i had to write how to papers. the fucking paper is seriously 10 pages long
