True. This dude really wants the hatch. He said he'd drive it down from georgia this weekend which says alot to me. I told him I have plans this weekend so the following weekend he's gonna come down and he said he had no problems with me having it looked at! Do any of you know the name of the tool used to check the compression on a rotary engine?? I was told back when I had my FB that a special compression check is required. And your so right man it's clean as hell!

If there's anyway possible can you get some info on it?? in his post he said the motor was replaced in 03 and has less than 50k on it. It looks clean as hell from the pics. Like I said he's planning on driving down from GA and I don't wanna turn him around with no hatch.

thanks

matt

well i sure some of the people in the mazda section can tell you better then i can but you pull one of the spark plugs out and listen to the noise it makes. if its a tsh. tsh. tsh. you should be ok with compression or apex seals. rotary7 or someone could chime in for you

I think it would be a ton of upkeep compered to a b series hatch. Fun and cool factor would defenatly out do a civic in my eyes, but practically... that's up to you

if the motor goes go chevy not ford. LS1!!!!!!!!!!! and that frame would probably twist so bad with all the torque from the v8 being that its a conv.
not that i'd want to advise against a chevy motor over ford, but realistically you could buy about 5-10 302's for the price of an ls1

oh, and i own both an ls1 and a 302 car...

Is it wrong that when I think of a late model rx7, all that comes to mind is blaring loud reggaton and puerto rican flags? along with the only sound that could be worse then a straight off the header b16 popping vtec?

o well
