Default wtb rims and tires?

i am finishing the suspension up on my 70 bb chevelle
2" lowering spindles - stock springs & drag shocks in front
tubular upper and lower control arms, lower relocate bracket & 1" lower hotchkis springs with drag shocks for the rear

i want to run 17" x 8 torque thrust in front
and 17" x 9.5 for rears
my question what kind of tires?
drag radials for rear, but what kind, and why?
I do want the front tires to kinda match the rears in tread look

and anyone have the hookup on these?
what do you think?

street driving or just maily a track car? Nittos are great for the rear if you are going to drive it a lot on the street
