if you just spray it on, then yes it will look like shit. you have to take the lens apart or spend alot of time in prep work to get them nice.

Just another FYI, any serious tinting of your taillights is a ticketable offense. And a hazard. Especially in the heavy rain when you can barely see properly functioning taillights. I wonder if the insurance of a driver who hits someone who has tinted tail-lights will refuse to pay out. If i was an insurance company, I would.

Why do you people do this crap to your tail-lights, by the way? Is it uncool to have visable, safe taillights?

Its not tht we dnt like having OEM tail-lights, its the theme of the car tht makes us do it. My theme is stealthiness, hence the reason I want to lightly tint my tail-lights so they look less noticeable from FAR away.

Well just remember, its not a problem in good weather. Its when the rain is coming down in sheets and you can barely see 5 feet in front of your face and normal tail-lights are barely visable that this is a serious problem.

It isn't that they can't see it, it is that they don't notice it.

Like the 17-year-old that ran a three-way stop sign in broad daylight and hit me. He could see the sign clearly enough, he just wasn't paying attention. Had the sign lit up he would have noticed it and stopped.

Same goes for tailights and brake lights.
