who realy watched bullitt for the plot of the movie anyways? i dont care whos in it as long as it has a bad ass long chase scene.

The original had a good plot and good supporting cast. Very doubtful the remake will be as good especially with pretty boy Brad Pitt in it.

The new one will probably have an awesome drift scene.

i don't really know if theres an american actor out now that could honestly pull it off. it might workout better if they went with an unknown.

An unknown would be better; but despite being mainstream, Brad Pitt is one of my favorite actors (Snatch FTW) and he is very talented. He will do the part well.

johnny depp...i say this sarcastically but he wasnt ALWAYS a pirate.hard to top the original in this case IMO

I forgot about him. You might be being sarcastic but he wouldn't be a bad choice. I think he's probably the best actor of that generation. He was great in Blow and Donnie Brasco.
