stick on rust patches?

Default stick on rust patches?
Ive heard something about them before, but do the really exist? I HAD some pretty bad rust on my corolla that i cut out and im too lazy to fix it the right way, is there some sort of patch i could use to cover the hole?

cut some sheet metal, tack weld it, grind the welds then bondo.
