The Cobra gets terrible gas mileage. It did not bother me so much at first, but after about a year when I saw gas prices rising, looked back at the car and its 10mpg average, I knew it was time to go. My gas pedal broke and the adjustable lumbar support and all power seat functions failed. This was covered under warranty. It was a bear to park due to the minimal turning radius and large size - coming from an Integra that will be a big change for you.

I sold mine in favor of my current car, an Evo VIII. It's more practical and after minimal mods its every bit as quick. Cheaper on insurance and twice as good on gas, sometimes getting as good as 25mpg. The very best I ever got on the Cobra was 14.

Not going to make a suggestion, just giving you my experiences. Good luck and happy hunting

like John said the Evo is a awsome car..I ran 13.3 at 101 bone stock in mine and since I went wingless I get around 27mpg..plus not only can it run on a drag strip but put it on a road course or even a auto-x course and it feels at home...

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I really appreciate it.

I noticed that there are lots of different opinions between going import/domestic. As stated earlier, I would really really like to stay with an Import. I did not realize that the Cobra got that horrible gas mileage. Gas mileage doesn't really bother me (and it shouldn't really be a factor for any car enthusiast), but 10 mpg is just horrible.

So.. As of now all my options that have been suggested are the Evo, Wrx/Sti, and the Legacy GT. I really like the Legacy GT it's just not exactly what I was looking for. I want something a bit more sporty, and not so much of a "family" car.

As for the Mazda Speed 3/6.. Personally I would never own another Mazda. I have owned a couple of Mazdas in the past, and I had many problems with every single one of them.

Any other suggestions on any Imports guys? Everyone please jump in and give me any suggestions you may have.

Thanks a bunch. -Razr

IMHO, I like the GTO that I have. I was in yor boat about 5 months ago and I went with this route.

Look at it this way with around 20k you can get a Nice T/A and with the rest mod alittle.

OR

Get a cobra finance alittle...Ill tell you my GTO will keep up with a Cobra and it still has no FI on it. IMO cobras have cheap looking interior.

Ultimetly it will be your decission.

sorry for mis-spelling.

SRT-4 Maybe? I'm not a fan of domestics, and even less of a fan of Dodges, but I have friends in other forums who highly recommend these. Basic mods yield good results, parts are a dime a dozen, Mopar will warranty their parts in most instances, and I'm sure that Mercedes had their eyes on this whole project, even if they didn't source the parts. Just overlook the PT Cruiser engine and Minivan transmission.

I'd never get one myself, personal reasons really, but it may be worth looking into.

If I were you, I'd save a little more, or squeeze my budget a little, and get an Evo, you'll thank yourself later. I just drove a 2006 MR from Tampa to Denver and was utterly impressed with the car. Going back to my Daewoo hurt so bad.

Keep 'em coming guys. I would like to stay Import as mentioned above, but go ahead and suggest Domestics also if you wish.

I may be wrong but it seems as if you may have your import and domestic thing mixed up.. your saying you want an import but the 2 cars you mention are very domestic .. just to make sure, imports would be the evo, wrx/sti, lgt, 350z ect.. cobras, trans ams ect. are all domestic.
