Default Vibrations? 05 Manual Accent GT

Has 28k miles on it, 2nd owner (do warranties transfer?). The car has a metallic vibration when shifting into higher gears and trying to accelerate, especially when shifting into the higher gears at a lower speed (ie, to save gas). The vibration is felt in the pedals especially and the steering wheel. It can be heard slightly if you are driving the car and can feel the vibration and know when to listen for the sound. The clutch pedal has also developed a resistance, or rubbing feeling when it's close to the floor. The car feels like it's going to fall apart with only 28k. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Chris

PS, Mike Ranlet still around these parts?

Yes, factory warranty transfers. Original owner is the 10 year/100K miles deal and every subsequent owners gets a 5 year/60K mile warranty. Bring it to the dealer and see what they say - if it's covered you might be able to get a loaner/rental out of them as well.

+1 on the free dealer fix.

Look under the car to see if the shift lever is clearing everything.
Look at all your motor mounts to see if one's loose/worn out, causing a drive train shift/rub.-Bob
