ranlet stretched a 205 on a 10 inch wheel the other day on justins car, justin can u chime in please with some pics of what a real stretch is

us lexus guys do it. im not a big fan of it, but a mild stretch looks decent.

actually alot of drift-cars have stretched tires, i read somewhere that its more controllable(how true this is i cant say). But in my honest opinion stretched tires look sex on a dropped car with a nice wheel and crazy offset. others may call it rice some may call it stupid, but as the OP posted there has been no proof that this is in anyway more dangerous than a regular tire. When i finally get wheels for my corolla the tires will be stretched for the look.

Probably not for poser street driving. But I'm betting the bead won't hold for any real spirited driving and I wouldn't track them for one lap. Lotsa engineering goes into building a tire for specific purposes.

But if looks are more important than performance, go for it.

Agreed, especially when they are on "performance" cars.
