Well Chuck and burgy240 came down to Sebring Sunday, unfortunately my car decided to pick yesterday as the day to stop running but they did get some rides in other non-Radical cars at least. I ran a friend's car though and did a 2:28 which beat my previous best by 19 seconds so I'm in a pretty good mood while I await the diagnosis and bill for whatever is wrong with mine. My friend took burgy's girlfriend for a few laps in his new Radical though, I think they did some 2:20's or lower; that's fast.

Just signed up for Sebring with PBOC on July 7/8 weekend guys; it's a Radical Cup race event too, two of my friends are in the races that weekend. They still have plenty of spots open for HPDE if anyone wants to join me for non-competitive track time; all car types are allowed but convertibles other than certain pre-approved models need a waiver.

Yeah, unfortunately Pdisme's car died shortly before we got there, but it was a good day at the track anyway. Pon and I got a few rides from the ZO6 guys and of course she got to ride in one of the other radicals.
I was great to meet you and and your girl. as usual, I met a few other Road racers that were super cool and extremely helpful. eventually We will be getting a track car and be joining you at the track more often....
Thanks

This will be my first post in this forum, still waiting to get my new bimmer, so I can take a spin at the Green Hell.
Yes I am german, and I live just 2 hours away from the Nürburgring.

On the first site of this thread it was questioned why it's alway lookin that wet on the track.....and no we do have sun, I am sweating of my feet in my combat boots right now!

Answer is simple, the Nürburgring is located to an area called the Vulcano Eiffel, because of all the old vulcanos there.....they aren't active anymore of course.....
it's very hilly, so the weather changes realy quick.....thats the biggest problem if u try to have a quick round on the ring....it may suddenly start to rain!

For more pics of some sweet cars like skylines, S14s ( not the gay KA ones), Nobles and others write me a message.....I try to get to the ring as soon I put the 18's on the bimmer.

Oh and the car I attached to this post, it was shown earlier in this thread.....it's not an Opel Astra (which was a good shot into the right direction), its' an OPEL CORSA OPC.
OPC means "Opel Performance Center".....the Corsa has a 1.6 liter 4cylinder turbo with 192 hp!! runs 225 km/h.
Opel Corsa OPC - Meldungen - autobild.de

Let me tell you, most may think the Nordschleife / Green Hell is not that hard.....don't believe what Forza Motorsport or GT4 are trying make u believe......it's insane! Everytime I get there a lot of cars get wrecked, even if they are piloted by some good drivers!

I try to be there at the next 24h race....couldnt make it last week....Porsche wins this year, BMW got on 5th place with the Z4 M Coupe and Hans -Joachim Stuck as driver.

Thanks to Shinmei 2006 taking me to this forum.

greets,
tobi

LOL, I don't know anyone who's ever suggested the 'ring was not that hard. Doesn't it have like 110+ turns?

No one in this thread mentioned it's not hard
The track has 73 turns and is 20.832 km long.
I randomly see comments on youtube and other video-sharing platforms where (mostly) american people bragg how stunnig their driver skills are.
I have to mention most of my family lives in the states, so don't get bugged out because of some of my comments....lol....most time I am joking.
I just want to make it clear that it is THE HARDEST track in the world...if u'all have the chance to make it to germany.....don't visit Castle Neuschwanstein (HAHAA), head directly to the Ring....best time'd be on a weekend.

It cost 15 euros for 1 round. Thats ok....whats not ok are the gas prices in germany.
Let me tell you, you all can be happy about your prices.....it's 1.34 Euros for one (1 !!!) liter of 93 octane!

I live quite next to Ramstein AFB, so we do have a lot of american citizens here.....and with them their cars.
Friend of mine owns 3 RX7 FDs, one of them with a Vette V8 swap
lucky for them they can fill up gas on the base....for the same prices are payed in the states.

I'm just happy to know I drive a car from the same company that holds the fast lap record.

Isnt it VW/Audi?

Also, 323ti is awesome..mostly because we never got it, but I think they are pretty neat. Could use a bigger engine and forced induction, but the car is awesome as it is.
