Default Idiot of the day

Working in the srvice dept. of a dealership you get used to seeing some pretty stupid stuff from customers. Usually its stuff like "the power windows dont work" only to find out that the window lock switch is on. Or "why is my tire pressure light on?"

Well today's sales customer and his salesman win all. A customer comes in and takes a 2007 Wrangler out for a test drive. When he gets back to the dealership he tells the salesman that the Jeep won't shift gears. So dumbass salesman drives the Jeep over to service, has the service advisor make a ticket for a no-shift concern.

I guess these idiots didn't know they have to shift MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS.

thats what im thinking as well.. also there should be a safety start switch where you have to push the clutch in-order to turn it on..

Thats what we figure, he probly moved it from the lot to the showroom area and left it running. But the person still would have to depress the cluth to even get into first. I dunno, still too funny.

Tell them "Loose nut behind the steering wheel" prevented the proper shifting. I really enjoy the one's with LX car's tha run over parking curbs and speeds bumps and rip off that bottom side engine cover and say it's a defective part. I like to say no I think there's a defective person.

idk, the wranglers got a VERY low first gear, if the customer took over from the salesmen, hit the clutch thinking it was the brake, put it into first(?) and let out on the clutch a LITTLE slow, then it would prolly lurch, but i doubt it would stall...and if its the six speed, it'd be even less prone to stall.
Still some idiotic people...
