Insurance question?
im 18 i pay 235 a month for my s2 insurance i have like 4 speeding tickets 1 careless driving ticket (i saw tokyodrift that night) i saved for like 5 years and paid the car cash when i bought it so i got off of the car payment, i have full cov. with progressive, i used to pay 435 but i put my g/f jetta on my policy and it split the payment down themiddle, multicar disc. i guess, and with the extra 200 somthin i wasnt spending on my insurance anymore i went ahead and saved that and put a turbo on my s2 now. i tink if an 18yrold can do it a 23yr old can 2

i'm 22, and i pay 40 bucks a month for liability on my 89 chevy, i've had one ticket, going 84 in a 60, didn't take defensive driving, never impacted my record.
when i was 18, my coverage was 100 bucks a month. had coverage with them for 4 years, so i guess loyalty helps.
Also helps if you don't drive like an ass, but whatever.
Guess you guys need better radar detectors/slow down

most all insurance companies will look back at least 3 years on your accident record...or drivers history, and COMP claims over $400...& they will charge you out the ass for it.
Typically, your rates will be high for the first term with any company. But they tend to drop based on your loyalty. That what happened with my Geico policy. try them...

21, one accident, no tickets, $320/month. Car payment is only $333.59. I have Amica insurance. My MINI was $40 cheaper/month and it was newer and more expensive. I fail to understand insurance companies sometimes. (and I've had Amica since I started driving).

liability, how much damage it will do to another car(the reason SUV's can be high on insurance)
injury rating, how safe you car is
comp, theft rating
collision, how much it costs to repair
they call these ratings, ISO ratings, which stands for Insurance Standard-and i forget the last word.
mini probably has a lower liability rating/injury rating/theft rating than an s2k(convertable/high injury). also you have to factor stastics. bmw's and mercedes are usually cheap to insure, because the people who own them usually have awesome credit, homeowners, garage kept, and drive better than you and me.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

insurance companies usually use 4 rating variables.
liability, how much damage it will do to another car(the reason SUV's can be high on insurance)
injury rating, how safe you car is
comp, theft rating
collision, how much it costs to repair
