Need Help With Jeep
If there is somebody out there thats knows anything about Jeeps. Please help me!!!! Ok i have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sprot. It has been parked for the last year, tiring to figure out what the problem is. It will turn over and start, but it only runs for about one second. Then it makes a loud knock and then just turns off. I just replaced the tranny, distributor, some o2 censors,and some other stuff. So if anybody has any idea what is wrong please let me know. Thanks guys.

You put gas in it right? Sitting for a year there's either no fuel or very shitty fuel... try filling up a can and throw that in there with some injector cleaner and see if that changes anything.

+ a million....drain the old gas if you can, fill it with 93 octane and some injector cleaner(seafoam if you ask me)

Sorry Guys it not the gas i've tried that already. I was thinkin it might be the oil pump. Because we did replace that and that iis when the knocking started. Has anybody ever had trouble with an oil pump? Could that be it?
